Content Guidelines

There are an infinite number of topics to write about, but not all content is created equal! Understanding what readers are interested in can be a great asset to a writer when trying to get their content approved. The following content themes are popular, and a good place to test the waters.
– History
– Strange and Unusual
– Frightening/Scary
– Mystery (Unsolved)
– Animals
– Travel
– Celebrity/Entertainment
– Sports

Keep it fresh and unique! Information travels at the speed of light these days, so the odds of finding a topic that has never been written about are slim-to-none. However, this doesn’t mean you cannot create a killer piece of content! Focus on creating pieces that have an original tone, even if someone else has already written about it. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who did it first, but who did it best.

Keep it fresh and unique! Write in your own voice, but be sure to focus on appealing to the audience you are writing to. If you are unsure of who the audience might be, research your topic and make inferences based on the topic. Understanding a prospective audience is key to creating a great post.

Best Practices

ALWAYS cite the original source of anything you find while researching a topic. Plagiarism will not be tolerated and can result in a lifetime ban from the BLESSTHISLIST contribution network. This doesn’t mean you cannot draw inspiration from other authors or publications, but always be sure to link back and credit the proper source(s).
