Convicted of murdering her daughter in 1994, Lynn DeJac served 13 years in prison before exonerating DNA evidence finally came to light. Experts claim she is the first woman to get her murder charge reversed based on DNA evidence. It was revealed that her companion, Dennis Donohue was the likely culprit, although he had been granted immunity at her initial trial. DeJac passed away from cancer in 2014.
